What do you have a heart for?
Your family? Your favorite food or sports team?
19 “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22 (NIV)
Do you have a “heart for the house”? For the community of faith that Jesus is building?
Because we have Jesus; because we have His Holy Spirit; because we have God’s Word—the Bible—to show what to believe and how best to follow Jesus, then we can not just hope for, we can expect a better future!
How can our hearts grow for God’s house?
Can our hearts be knit together so we will move together in unity to build His Church?
15 Instead, by speaking the truth in a spirit of love, we must grow up in every way to Christ, who is the head.” Ephesians 4:15 (GNT)
When we think of Sebastopol Christian Church, think of not just one, but two churches:
- The Church We Are
- The Church We Can Become
