HISTORY YOU CAN’T IGNORE
Psalm 107
You know many people and situations that need great help from above: 1) Wandering in a dry desert (107:4).
2) Chained in gloom and despair (107:10).
3) Suffering in physical affliction (107:17).
4) Terrified in a fierce storm (107:26-27).
God’s unfailing love is your strong hope:
1) Leading (107:7-9).
2) Rescuing (107:14-16).
3) Healing (107:20-21).
4) Calming (107:29-31).
Be sure to thank God, tell others what God has done, and worship God (107:1,22,32).
Your prayers can be hindered:
1) By not honoring your spouse. (1 Peter 3:7, Malachi 2:13-15)
2) By showy prayers.(Mark 12:40).
3) By cherishing sin.(Proverbs 28:9, Isaiah 1:15-17).
4) By harboring bitterness and unforgiveness.(Matthew 5:23-6:15).
5) By not caring about the poor. (Proverbs 21:13)
Take Home (107:33-43):
1) Do whatever it takes in your life to welcome God’s presence.
2) The wise person learns from history and stays fervent in prayer.
3) Agree with other people in prayer and ask for God’s best results.
