REMOVAL OF OBSTRUCTIONS TO VISION
Mark 10:36-42
I. God is calling every one of us to serve Him.
He wants us to be obedient to our conviction.
The blind man had heard about the work that Jesus had done and how many people had been helped by him.
Now that conviction is what caused the blind beggar to keep calling to Jesus.
II. Persistent
Some people told Bartimeaus to be quiet.
Some said “for how long have you been blind, why bother Jesus now.”
He knew that was his only chance to be saved.
The influence of Jesus was so much that everyone wanted to see and to be touched by Him.
III. I Want to See
All Bartimeaus wanted was for Jesus to help him see.
Living translation says in Luke 18:41, “He pleaded,
Lord I want to see.”
One of the scary things is to be in darkness.
It is hard for a blind person to trust someone.
Conclusion: My prayer for all of us is to ask God to open our spiritual eyes:
To see where we can help.
To see where we can be involved.
To see where we can volunteer.
