Ephesians 6:1-4

Children (6:1-3):
Honoring God includes honoring parents.

Honoring parents:
1) involves honest conversations.
2) gives the benefit of the doubt.
3) is not always popular.
4) doesn’t mean ignoring the Bible.
Wisdom in life is knowing who to honor.

Gratitude is a solid step towards honoring parents.
Parents (Ephesians 6:4):
Encourage more than you rebuke.

GOD is more important than MVP or GPA.

A couple of don’ts:
1) Overcompensate because of your childhood.
2) Enable your kids.
3) Stop trying to understand your children.
Rules without relationship and time can lead to rebellion.

You are the primary spiritual leaders for your children.
