Luke 8:22-56

22-25
-In desperation the disciples cry out for help.
-Out of grace, Jesus answers their cry.
-Sometimes, miracles are motivated by grace, in spite of disbelief.

26-39
-Jesus frees a man who doesn’t ask for it.
-This miracle is misunderstood and feared.
-Sometimes, miracles are motivated by compassion, without prompting.

42b-48
-With great faith, a woman is healed just by touching Jesus.
-Jesus wants this woman to proclaim what God has done for her.
-Sometimes miracles are motivated by great faith.

40-42a, 49-56
-A man with a lot to lose finds faith in Jesus.
-Jesus rewards that faith and demonstrates His power.
-Sometimes miracles are motivated by God’s desire to demonstrate His power.

Take Home: God is a mystery, miracles are mystery, but we must believe that God is good.
